Wigan & Leigh HIV services

Spectrum Community Health CIC provides a range of non-clinical sexual health services across Wigan & Leigh, including HIV testing and support.

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust provides HIV treatment and care for people living with HIV in Wigan & Leigh.

How to register

To register as a new client, transfer your care to us from another clinic or for any other enquiries call 01942 949167 and ask to speak to a Health Advisor, who will take your details and make an appointment for you.

Emergency HIV prescriptions

If you are likely to run out of your HIV medication before your appointment, please contact Bolton NHS Foundation Trust on 01204 390771 to request an emergency prescription. You will need to provide us with your clinic number and date of birth.

HIV treatment and care

Testing positive and after care

If you test positive for HIV, we will discuss the options for treatment with you. It is recommended that people with HIV start treatment as soon as possible.  

Treatment in Wigan & Leigh is provided by Bolton NHS Foundation Trust in N Block at Bolton Hospital. We will make a referral for you. 

The team at Bolton Foundation Trust includes:  

  • HIV specialist consultants 
  • Nurses 
  • Sexual health advisers
