It Begins With Me: Your Questions Answered
RSE Day 2026
Every year, young people ask us lots of questions during our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) lessons. Some questions are about bodies and puberty, others are about relationships, contraception, consent or sexual health. Many are questions that lots of young people are thinking about but don’t always feel confident asking out loud.
To celebrate RSE Day 2026, we’ve gathered some of the most common questions we hear and answered them in our special “Ask the Expert” problem page.
This year’s theme, “It Begins With Me,” recognises that healthy relationships start with understanding ourselves. Whether that’s learning about our bodies, respecting boundaries, making informed choices or knowing where to go for support, good relationships and positive sexual health begin with knowledge and confidence.
The questions featured in our problem page come directly from conversations with young people in schools and colleges. We’ve provided honest, age-appropriate answers to help tackle myths, reduce stigma and encourage informed decision-making.
